Decorative Art
Wilson’s art reflects a consistent fascination
with architecture, as well as a facility for translating traditional
architectural forms into a vernacular all his own. This interest
comes to the fore in a broad variety of decorative art designed
and executed throughout his career—tables, lighting fixtures,
candle holders, tableware—it goes on. (For the best overview

taken precedence over his interest in the decorative arts, the
body of work reflects an unusual synthesis: Frank Lloyd Wright,
pre-Columbian art, “Star Wars,” Futurism, and Greco-Roman
Classicism. In the end, Wilson’s signature is very much
his own. |
